Gold medallist Danson sad to leave Reading
Alex Danson, gold medal winner at Rio 2016, tells Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Berkshire she is sad to be leaving Reading Hockey after several years at the club.
"In hockey terms I'm getting a little bit older now, but I still love playing. If I'm given the opportunity to keep on playing I would love to."
"I'm very excited for a new challenge at Clifton Robinson, very sad to be leaving Reading though, they've been a fantastic team, and a fantastic place to play my hockey."
"The main reason I'm going across is that my best friend moved across there, and I just couldn't break that partnership."
"What are the chances though, I'm playing Reading in my first game, but it will be full of friendly faces."
