Widow of Murdered Bangladeshi Blogger

In February 2015 Bonya Ahmed survived an attack in Dhaka in which her husband was killed. She told Outlook's Matthew Bannister about that day and what she has been doing since.

Avijit Roy was a well known Bangladeshi, American blogger who wrote books rejecting religion and promoting a scientific view of life. He and his wife, Bonya Ahmed were attacked in Dhaka following a book festival in February 2015 by suspected Islamic extremists. Avijit died following the attack and Boyna was left with severe injuries.

Last month a beauty pageant with a difference took place in the Kenyan capital Nairobi. "Mr and Miss Albinism" is a beauty pageant with a difference which aims to boost the confidence of young people with that condition. It took place in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi and our reporter Michael Kaloki went backstage to meet some of the contestants.

The presidents of Panama and Colombia met recently to sign a deal to step up security along the border, which is used by migrants and drug traffickers. One of Colombia's most notorious drugs barons was killed almost twenty-three years ago. Pablo Escobar controlled up to 80% of the world's cocaine trade and his cartel terrorised Colombia during the 1980s and early 90s. His only son Sebastian Marroquin changed his name after being forced to flee the country but returned to Colombia years after his fathers death.

Dubioza Kolektiv are an eight-piece band from Bosnia's capital, Sarajevo, who mix elements of rock, reggae and traditional Balkan music. Their lyrics deal with contemporary concerns and politics and have been used by Bosnians as the soundtrack for their protests. Our reporter, Guy De Launey met some of the band members in Sarajevo.
