Did Labour governments build enough homes?
Britain has the "lowest house building on record since peace time" said Jon Ashworth, but admitted Labour did not build enough homes either.
But the shadow minister without portfolio said his party invested in the existing housing stock while in government.
He was speaking to Daily Politics presenter Jo Coburn about Chancellor Philip Hammond's conference speech on UK economic plans.
