World heavyweight champion Tyson Fury will not see 30 without boxing, says fellow British fighter and friend Billy Joe Saunders.

Fury reversed an apparent decision to retire on Monday, saying he is 鈥渉ere to stay鈥�.

The 28-year-old, who withdrew from his 29 October rematch against Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko because of reported mental health issues, had written on Twitter: 鈥淚鈥檓 the greatest, and also retired.鈥�

However, three hours later, Fury was back on social media to suggest his earlier claim had been a joke.

鈥淗ahahaha, you think you will get rid of the Gypsy King that easy?" he tweeted. 鈥淪oon as I get better I'll be defending what's mine - the heavyweight throne.鈥�

WBO middleweight champion Saunders told 麻豆约拍 boxing correspondent Mike Costello that Fury is 鈥渕aking decisions he鈥檚 not fit to make鈥�.

鈥淗e鈥檚 mentally unfit,鈥� the 27-year-old added.

鈥淲e need to get him back in the ring. If you take his boxing away, I honestly don鈥檛 think Tyson will see 30.鈥�
