World heavyweight champion Tyson Fury will not see 30 without boxing, says fellow British fighter and friend Billy Joe Saunders.
Fury reversed an apparent decision to retire on Monday, saying he is βhere to stayβ.
The 28-year-old, who withdrew from his 29 October rematch against Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko because of reported mental health issues, had written on Twitter: βIβm the greatest, and also retired.β
However, three hours later, Fury was back on social media to suggest his earlier claim had been a joke.
βHahahaha, you think you will get rid of the Gypsy King that easy?" he tweeted. βSoon as I get better I'll be defending what's mine - the heavyweight throne.β
WBO middleweight champion Saunders told ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ boxing correspondent Mike Costello that Fury is βmaking decisions heβs not fit to makeβ.
βHeβs mentally unfit,β the 27-year-old added.
βWe need to get him back in the ring. If you take his boxing away, I honestly donβt think Tyson will see 30.β
