Greg Dyke: β€˜Wenger would be a brilliant England manager’

The FA is once again looking for a new manager - after Sam Allardyce, lasted just 67 days in the job. He left his post last night by "mutual consent", after being caught agreeing a 400 thousand pound deal with undercover journalists posing as businessmen, and advising them how to get around FA rules on players transfers.

Former FA chairman Greg Dyke said: β€œHe’s let himself down, and he has let the FA down, and I think they have made the right decision.”

Gareth Southgate takes charge of the men's senior team for the next four matches against Malta, Slovenia, Scotland and Spain whilst The FA searches for the next man to take the job.

β€œI’m a great fan of Arsene Wenger, if the FA could get hold of him, he would be a brilliant appointment,” added Dyke.
