Northampton Town's Red Devils tie evokes memories of 1970

Northampton Town's third round EFL Cup tie against Manchester United evokes memories of a famous match between the two sides in 1970.

United won their FA Cup clash 8-2, with George Best scoring six of them.

The two sides have never played each other in the league cup, but had another meeting in 2004 in the FA Cup which the Red Devils won 3-0.

Former Cobblers full-back Ray Fairfax has been reflecting on what it was like to try and mark George Best when the two sides met in 1970.
