The US telecom giant Verizon is reviewing its Yahoo takeover, fearing extra costs after hackers obtained the details of 500 million users. Yahoo claims the cyber attack was state sponsored and it only uncovered the security breach while investigating another hack last month. Verizon, which is tying up a deal to buy most of Yahoo's business, says it only found out about the hack attack two days ago. Internet Security expert Alex Holden explains why Yahoo took so long to realise it had been infiltrated.
