Ellie Simmonds on bronze: I just want a hug from my parents

Ellie Simmonds won bronze for Paralympic GB, but was disappointed to lose her London 2012 title in the Women's S6 400m freestyle.

β€œI don’t know what happened to be honest. I went out there and gave it everything. It just wasn’t good enough for today.”

When asked by reporter and former Paralympian Kate Grey β€œHow do you move on from this?” - an emotional Simmonds, who picked up her fifth gold in yesterday's SM6 200m medley race, replied β€œI just need a hug from my parents”.

You can listen to extensive coverage of the Paralympics on ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 5 live and watch it on Channel 4 or at C4 online.
