Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ loses Great British Bake Off to Channel 4

Take some flour, sugar, cream and eggs, throw in some contestants and big personality presenters, and you have a recipe for a hit show in The Great British Bake Off. So much so that the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ has now been outbid in its efforts to keep the show on its network for the next few seasons. Instead rival Channel 4 has signed a three-year deal with Love Productions which makes the programme. It's understood the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ offered Β£15m to keep the show, but the TV production company wanted Β£25m. It's caused a big stir on social media, with many fans saying Bake Off should stay on the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ. But Gill Hind, media analyst from Enders Analysis, told Susannah Streeter it means the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ can invest in finding new formats.
