Manchester United fan Ahmer claimed the club's sacking of Louis van Gaal was a 'tremendous mistake' and a 'short-term approach' to regaining former glories.

Ahmer said: "They've made a long-term mistake. This season, van Gaal should have stayed in charge and then next year Giggs would have taken over as was the original plan."

Dutchman van Gaal was replaced by Jose Mourinho as Manchester United in May 2016, signing a three-year contract.
