Arsenal fan Peter bemoaned Arsene Wenger's caution in the transfer market, comparing it to booking a last minute holiday.

"Wenger鈥檚 transfer strategy is a bit like booking your holiday: Sir Alex Ferguson used to book his holidays and have them all paid for at the end of May when all his players would be in.

"Everybody鈥檚 noses would be out of joint and put back in joint by the beginning of August. They鈥檝e all been on the pre-season tour, and been involved with the pre season training.

"Here鈥檚 Mr Wenger, yet again, last minute larry. We get any new players who are going to pitch up with 10% of the Premier League season gone before they even arrive in London," Peter said.

Despite coming under pressure from Gunners fans, the Frenchman confirmed on Saturday that deals for Germany defender Shkodran Mustafi and Spanish striker Lucas Perez had been completed.
