Sir Bradley Wiggins says although he has not competed in his last race, he will not be competing in another Olympic games.

Wiggins became the first Briton to win eight Olympic medals as Team GB won a third gold on day seven, adding to two silvers.

The 36-year-old said: "Not my last race but my last Olympic games.

"I wanted to go out on top and I don't underestimate how difficult the event is."

Wiggins combined with Ed Clancy, Owain Doull and Steven Burke to complete the 4km race in three minutes 50.265 seconds, setting a new world record.
