Full coverage of the men's 65kg & 97kg qualification from the Carioca Arena. Italy's Frank Chamizo and Russia Soslan Ramonov are expected to challenge for gold in the 65kg category. Chamizo is the reigning world champion but was beaten into silver at last year's European Games and also lost to Ramonov at the Medved Prizes meet in February. If the two meet in the final once more, expect fireworks.
Meanwhile in the 97kg ties, two Americans Jakob Varner and Kyle Snyder should be amongst the medals. Varner triumphed in London but lost to world champion Snyder at the American trials. Both however, could come under threat from Russia's Anzor Boltukaev who defeated each of them en route to gold at the Yarvgin Grand Prix. For now though, all the contenders will want to make it through qualification unscathed.
