General practice tips 3: Start at the end and work backwards

If you are finding it hard to learn your piece of music, start at the end and work backwards. This is a process called 'reverse chaining' and it's a little like laying a breadcrumb trail through a forest - you trace your steps backwards until you get to the beginning of the work.
