Netflix price rises prompt subscribers to turn off
The video streaming service Netflix, famous for its in-house productions like the popular House of Cards series, has failed to attract as many subscribers as it forecast. Almost 1.7m new users signed up in the three months to the end of June, which is well below an expected 2.5m, and the number of people cancelling their contracts rose slightly and unexpectedly. Peter White is the news editor at Broadcast Now, and told Susannah Streeter why some people are switching off their service.
