New Circuit of Wales plan requires taxpayers to back 3/4 of Β£375m cost

Developers behind plans for a new motor racing track in Ebbw Vale are calling on the Welsh Government to support a revised proposal for the track, which could provide thousands of jobs in the area.

The initial Circuit of Wales bid was rejected in April 2016 for being too risky- it required the entire scheme to be underwritten by the government.

The new plan requires the taxpayer to guarantee three quarters of the Β£375m cost of the project.
