Joanna Cherry, the SNP's justice spokeswoman in Westminster and a leading barrister, explains the legal process behind how Scotland could remain in the EU following Brexit.

She told Carolyn Quinn of the Westminster Hour that evidence from legal counsel said that Scotland had to grant legislative consent to Brexit, which would not be given. She also said that if the UK does leave the EU, Scotland and Northern Ireland could remain as "continuity states".
