Grandfather speaks after Ellie Butler murder
The head injuries sustained by six-year-old year Ellie Butler were equivalent to those sustained in a high-speed car accident, but those head injuries were inflicted her own father.
Ben Butler was jailed for life yesterday for his daughter’s murder.
Butler was convicted in 2009 for shaking Ellie as a baby, although this was later quashed on appeal.
Butler, and Ellie’s mother Jennie Gray, won a High Court judgement to have Ellie returned to their care in 2012.
Ellie's maternal grandfather Neal Gray spoke to Victoria in his first TV interview.
