Deaf boy's 'absolutely perfect' new dog
A mum says her 10-year-old son "absolutely adores" his new assistance dog after a three-year-wait to get him.
Daniel Jillings, of Lowestoft, is profoundly deaf and uses Varley to help him respond to sounds.
Ann Jillings, his mum, says he has grown in confidence, is sleeping better and doing things such as going off to ask for things in restaurants.
She said: "Just seeing him have that confidence to do that for himself, because deafness does knock your confidence and social situations are very hard - that was quite emotional for me.
"Now Varley is here he's absolutely perfect and Daniel just absolutely adores his dog."
