'I was fighting two wars to survive'

David Render is one of the last surviving World War Two tank troop commanders to have taken part in the D-Day landings in the campaign to liberate Europe.

His experiences have been documented in his book Tank Action: An Armoured Troop Commander's War 1944-45.
