Yangon's disappearing heritage homes
Yangon, Myanmar - the city previously known as Rangoon, Burma - is changing fast. Decades of military rule have given way to economic and political reforms and, last year, the first democratically elected government in a quarter century. Concerned that the city's rich architectural heritage and the stories of longstanding residents could be lost to rapid commercial development, Tim Webster and Virginia Henderson have written Yangon Echoes, documenting the people and places of old Yangon. Tim Webster has been speaking to Dan Damon.
