Prevention or prolonged treatment? HIV campaigners fight the NHS

AIDS campaigners are going to court to challenge an NHS England decision not to offer a preventative HIV drug treatment known as PREP.

It is taken by people at high risk of contracting the condition, and can reduce the risk of infection by more than ninety per cent but NHS England say they don't have the legal power to commission the treatment.

Victoria was joined by Yusef Azad from the National Aids Trust, and Professor Sheena McCormack who explained why they wanted to see the treatment made widely available.
