Poignant images of Muhammad Ali by his personal photographer
There were few celebrities as photogenic as Muhammad Ali. Towards the end of his boxing career he invited Michael Gaffney to be his personal photographer from 1977 to 1978. The result was a book of photos (The Champ - My Year With Muhammad Ali) showing a legendary fighter determined to stay in the sport he loved. Mr Gaffney spoke to Dan Damon about that special year.
