Demise of the Death Penalty

The pharmaceutical giant Pfizer has landed a serious blow on capital punishment states in America. It's withdrawn the use of their drugs in the death penalty.

The move is the latest in a number of high profile companies taking a more ethical stance about investment or the use of their products. Last week Axa, one of the world's largest life insurance companies, announced it would no longer invest in the tobacco industry.

But Pfizer's move has huge ramifications for a country that still strongly supports capital punishment. Jane Little, religious affairs expert based in Washington.
