Barack Obama has met survivors of the atom bomb attack on Hiroshima during the first visit to the Japanese city by a US president since World War Two.

Mr Obama said the memory of 6 August 1945 must never fade, but did not apologise for the US attack, the world's first nuclear bombing.

Keni Sabath's grandmother Tomiko Shoji, who was 18 at the time, survived the blast when the tobacco factory she was working in was hit.

Ms Sabath recounted her story and told the Victoria Derbyshire programme her family did not seek an apology and supported Mr Obama's sentiments.
