Euros Special: Terry Yorath Podcast

In the first of a series of interviews leading up to Euro 2016, we hear from former manager Terry Yorath on his memories of playing, and managing, the national team.

Terry Yorath is described in some quarters as the greatest captain in Welsh footballing history. Part of the side that reached the quarter-finals of the European Championships in 1978, he managed the side between 1989 and 1993, coming agonisingly close to qualifying for the 1994 World Cup, whilst introducing the likes of a very young Ryan Giggs to the side. From Joe Jordan’s handball, to run-ins with Alex Ferguson and World Cup qualifying deciders, there’s not much Yorath hasn’t experienced during his time with the national side. Hear from him on all of these subjects and more, in conversation with Simon Davies.
