World's most valuable football clubs revealed
Suddenly everyone's talking about The Foxes. No, not the omnivorous mammals. These foxes are the English football team Leicester City, which shocked just about everybody recently by winning the Premier League on a relative shoestring. It may not come as a surprise to learn Leicester doesn't rank on the latest list of the world's most valuable soccer teams, released by the business magazine Forbes. Two Spanish clubs are at the top. Real Madrid at number one with an estimated value of $3.6bn, and Barcelona at number two, said to be worth $3.5bn. Every club in the top ten is from Europe. Stefan Szymanski is professor of sport and management at the University of Michigan. He gave Mike Johnson his reaction to the list.
