The Austrian government is planning to impose border controls and erect a fence at the Brenner Pass to reduce the number of migrants heading north from Italy. As demonstrators gathered at the border crossing, they were met by hundreds of riot police. The 麻豆约拍's correspondent, Hugh Sykes -- who watched events unfold -- examines why tensions are so high.
