'It was a move...to open the floodgates'
In 2015 Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel initiated an open-door policy that did not set a limit on the number of refugees allowed in the country. This response to the policy was recorded during the World Questions debate in Berlin, Germany. You will hear Christian Schmidt, leader of the Alliance for Progress and Renewal (ALFA) party in Berlin.
