GP: ‘A lot of what we deal with is very short-term and will actually resolve itself’

A report by the health think-tank, the King's Fund, has suggested that the workload of GPs in England has increased dramatically over the last five years.

They looked at 30 million patient contacts from 177 practices between 2010/11 and 2014/15 and found that whilst the number of GPs grew by almost 5%, the number of GP consultations increased by more than 15%.
