The Israeli Ambassador to the UK, Mark Regev, has said a line has been crossed in the anti-semitism row in the Labour Party.

He told the Andrew Marr show: "There's a difference between legitimate criticism and hate speech. Just as there's no justification for hating blacks or hating homosexuals, there's no justification for hating Jews and that is the red line that simply can't be crossed."

He said the language from some in Labour had been "very concerning" and that it had crossed from criticising Israeli government policies into "demonising" the Jewish state, which he said amounted to anti-semitism.
