Africa's ivory trade close up

Every year in Africa somewhere between 30 and 40 thousand elephants are killed for their ivory. With less than half a million left, their numbers are being decimated by those who would kill them for money to satisfy Asia's insatiable appetite for ivory.

In the first of three reports, Africa Correspondent Alastair Leithead follows the journey of ivory out of Africa.
