The Queen's royal visit to Swansea and Bridgend: 1989
Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh opened the Morfa Athletics Stadium in Swansea on 20 April 1989. Later they went to The Orangery at Margam Park for lunch and planted some trees. Then it was on to Waterton in Bridgend to visit Diaplastics UK Ltd.
