A husbands passion for mountaineering puts pressure on his family. Ali fancied going out with a climber after having had enough of "wishy-washy men", and she met Tim when she was climbing in the Borrowdale valley. They're now married, have two children, and they run a guest house in Keswick. Tim's summited Everest four times and he organises expeditions for his clients in the Himalayas. But tragedy nearly struck when in April 2015 Tim was at Camp 1 on Everest when the Nepal earthquake struck. For Ali watching the story unfold on social media she feared for the worst, until Tim spoke to her briefly to say he was all right. Others were not so lucky, with nineteen people killed on Everest and three local members of his team losing their lives. It was another two long agonising days before they spoke again, and Ali knew he was coming home . . . .
