The Elements
How the series examining chemical elements of the world are captivating audiences. And, could the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ World Service’s Identity season change the way listeners see themselves?
The network’s ongoing series titled Elements examines each and every chemical element on the periodic table. Originally part of the Business Daily programme, the series analyses how different chemical elements have an impact on a country’s individual wealth and the world economy as a whole. Listeners give their feedback on the most recent episodes that have struck them most and explain why science in this format works for them. But, how much does science need to be explained visually and how will the series change in the coming episodes? Producer and presenter Laurence Knight speaks to Rajan Datar to answer these listener questions.
And as the World Service is just over two weeks into its month long series of programmes on Identity, listeners from around the world discuss their understanding of their own identity.
