Dad of PTSD soldier: 'He will never be the same'

A former soldier who became one of the youngest people ever to receive the George Medal for his bravery in Iraq says he is now effectively homeless, sleeping in a car and feels let down by the armed forces.

In 2005, when he was 20, Fusilier Daniel Smith tried to save the lives of colleagues twice within the same week when his vehicle patrol was hit by roadside bombs in Iraq. He now suffers from PTSD.

His father, Gary, tells Joanna Gosling how he fears for his son's future.
