Woodland timelapse
This timelapse of an entire growing season in one continuous shot took two years to film and involved taxingly detailed measurements and complicated tracking gear. Plant growth timelapses are very susceptible to changes in weather and light conditions. A slight shift in wind direction can make a plant seem to be in a different position from one shot to the next. So, exact models of every structure in the woodland were replicated in a studio, covered with blue screen material and planted. The resulting studio timelapse images were then imposed on to the background of the woodland tracking shots.
