Europe's economic woes and the role of the Euro; climate change under threat; OPEC struggles with oil prices

2014 presented challenges to many big ideas. Global efforts to tackle climate change seem to have lost momentum and OPEC's power to stabilise oil prices seems to have evaporated. Attempts by Italian Prime Minister, Matteo Renze, to stimulate employment by allowing companies to hire and fire more easily were greeted with angry protests. To what extent is the Euro responsible for Italy and Europe's continuing economic problems? Plus, we look at ongoing issues around bank regulation.
