Thousands of thoughts go through our minds every day and most go unremembered. One particular thought from my time with the bushmen is indelibly memorable. “Is this wild lion I’m intentionally walking directly towards, going to run or attack?â€
Facing down a lion with the knowledge of possible outcomes is not something you do without fear but it is something you really need to do with apparent confidence. I realised that as we approached the lion I didn’t have a word to accurately describe this new experience, so I’ve created my own. ‘Fearfidence'.
