‘I was naïve to support the Taliban’ – exclusive interview with Babar Ahmad

In an exclusive interview, a British man jailed over a website considered to be a key moment in the birth of internet jihad tells the Victoria Derbyshire programme he had been "naive" to support the Taliban.

Babar Ahmad, 41, was convicted of two counts of providing material support to terrorism and sentenced to twelve and a half years in prison. The former IT support worker had fought a record eight-year-long campaign against extradition for offences committed in the UK.

British authorities never charged him, but he later pleaded guilty in the United States.

This is part 1 of Victoria Derbyshire's exclusive interview.
