In August 2015 twelve identical boats left St Katherine's Dock in London, taking their crews on an adventure of a lifetime.

The Clipper Round the World Race is unique, in that the crew members pay for the privilege of taking the boats part, or all the way around the world.

Since the start, the teams have experienced incredible highs and the lowest of lows. Having crossed the equator twice, taken on the Southern Ocean and competed in one of the world's toughest races as part of their circumnavigation. The fleet are now arriving into Qingdao in China at the end of race seven.

For some who are going around the world it will be a well deserved break from the ocean. For others, China will be the end of their adventure whilst for others like retired accountant Rowena Marsh from Ashley Heath it will be the start. She's about to join the Da Nang team and sail across the Pacific to Seattle and the on to New York via the Panama Canal.

As she made final preparations to leave home, she told 麻豆约拍 Radio Solent's Neil Sackley about her previous sailing experience.
