In some countries government subsidies can account for 60% of farmers' gross earnings. As the price of food rockets around the world, not everyone is losing out. Farmers in some rich nations, many of whom receive subsidies from their governments, are getting record prices for their harvests. Are agricultural subsidies justifiable?
