Just 46% of Italian women have jobs. Italy has almost the lowest employment rates for women in the EU. The state of the economy is one of the key issues in the 2008 election, but is female employment at the heart of the issue? A look at why increased female employment in Italy would improve the economy for everyone and how it might be achieved.
