Parents and Kids at War
Nagging can turn family homes into war zones – but peace can be reached
Nagging can turn family homes into battle zones. In this war of attrition, mums and dads constantly voice their concerns (nag) because they care, but kids see it as irritating fault finding. We talk to Agony Aunty Donna Dawson from The Good Relationship Guide, to find out how young people can stop – or at least reduce – their parents’ perceived nagging, with a little bit of eye contact and a fair bit of patience.
Also on the show, with the success of new Asian band Cornershop, we visit Leicester in the East Midlands of England to find out why it’s taken so long for Asians to finally find success in the UK charts; and we talk to a refugee in war-torn Uganda about how he set up his own job as a cycle taxi.
