Disco at the local Library
A library that plays non-stop music has 2,500 young members and a very long waiting list
A library that plays non-stop music has 2,500 members and a very long waiting list of 12 to 25-year-olds, all desperate to join the coolest club in Glasgow, Scotland. Why? Well, unlike traditional libraries, this one actively encourages young people to chat, relax, read the huge collection of comic books and play one of the many CDs on offer, as loudly as they like. In an area of high unemployment where there’s little for young people to do, we talk to the members of the library, known locally as The Club, to find out what they love most about their cool hangout.
Also on the show, the prejudice faced by people who have albinism, and how playing drums with dustbins is stomping around the world.
