Children’s Songs of the 1950s

What did British kids sing along to before The Beatles and Bros arrived?

Before The Beatles and Bros arrived, British youngsters were singing along to this collection of 1950s and early 1960s children’s songs, including such classics as The Laughing Policeman.
Also on the show, we meet young explorer Robert Swan, who walked 900 miles to the South Pole to see the hole in the ozone layer; and chat to Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson about his once-a-week trip to a North London school to teach children the fine art of fencing.
