Vladimir Ashkenazy interview
The life and work of the Russian born conductor and virtuoso pianist. Born in 1937, he was a child prodigy on the piano. In 1962, he shared first prize in the Tchaikovsky competition in Moscow and a year later moved to the West where he pursued a second career as a conductor.
