Childcare 'should be tax deductible' to support working mothers
For more than a hundred years, International Women's Day has been celebrated around the world. During that time there has been rapid progress for the march of female emancipation at the ballot box and in the workplace. But still society remains unequal, with women behind on pay, promotion and in many parts of the world, education. One role model in terms of professional achievement is Lady Barbara Judge. She's currently the chair of the UK's Institute of Directors, and is an advisor to the board of TEPCO, the Tokyo Electric Power Company. Susannah Streeter discussed what can be done to help increase support for working mothers, but started by asking where her own work ethic came from.
