The Kyoto Treaty: Is It Enough?
Does the Kyoto Treaty go far enough in preventing climate change and will it work?
Zeinab Badawi hosts the World Debate just before the Kyoto Treaty takes effect on 16th February 2005. There are concerns that Kyoto will make those in the developing world worse off, and benefit only the West. Also, if climate change is the biggest threat facing civilisation, does the Kyoto Treaty go far enough? The panel includes Green MEP Caroline Lucas and Myron Ebell, Director of Global Warming at the Competitive Enterprise Institute in the USA.
