What is globalisation? Presenter Edward Stourton defines it asΒ "the developments which make national borders seem irrelevant and draw us more closely into one world". He starts his investigation into this modern phenomenon in Diyarbakir, south-eastern Turkey, where he watches a broadcast by MED TV, the Kurdish satellite TV channel operated from London that promotes Kurdish lanuage and culture across national borders that cannot be crossed in person.
